Bleach: Episode 122

Impressions:
Unfortunately the quality isn’t as high as the last episode, but the progression of plot is interesting as hell; more than enough to keep my thoughts away from the other aspects of the show. I love the Vaizards; they are just so entertaining. The next few episodes with Hiyori, Shinji and the rest of the Vaizard bunch will be quite colourful. The way the Vaizards gain such an incredible power boost when they equip their masks are highly imposing, while entertaining at the same time. Hiyori putting on hers and practically owning Ichigo with one move makes for a great cliff-hanger, only we’re not sure of the outcome just yet.
This episode covers chapters 213 to 215 of the manga. I’m worried that the pacing has increased to a solid three chapters per episode. This means the resuming of fillers aren’t that far off, though we can expect at least another few seasons of good manga-material Bleach. Judging by the title of the next episode, it seems that the anime will once again stretch a single chapter into a whole episode. I’m worried about the constantly fluctuating quality levels which Bleach exhibits. It seems that every other episode’s animation quality is rather bad. It would be a lot nicer if the quality remained at a certain level.

i like it when the fights are good quality, but i agree, it should be more balanced…
oh and i think rolling star is better than the new op, though the animation is not as good

ummmmm……. still love yui’s rolling star……. but i don’t get it……. if ichigo is a vaizard or an arrancar……… it’s better when he is a shinigami………
Hmm I think he is Vaizard. If he’s a Arrancar we’ll see the hole in his chest, and his outfit wil be in white. He doesn’t have broken mask on his body too.
Ichigo is neither a Vizard nor an Arrancar, however if he were to be compared to anyone it would be the Vizard. Vizard are Shinigami who have awakened and harnessed the power of their inner Hollow. Arrancar, on the other hand, are Hollows who have broken free of their masks and attempted to gain Shinigami powers, including a Zanpakutou. The ‘naturally occuring Arrancar’ were considered to be incomplete – all of the Arrancar encountered here, particularly those of the Adjuchas and Vasto Lorde class, are Hollows that have been transformed as a result of Aizen Sousuke’s use of the Hougyoku (Orb of Distortion). Why the hell did Urahara make that thing anyway?!
