Bleach: Episode 115

Impressions:
It’s pretty obvious that since the end of the fillers, heaps of character development can be found in each episode. The first half of this episode features a nice little speech by Rukia to bring back Ichigo’s confidence. It also represents their intimacy, as it only takes Rukia a few seconds to confirm Ichigo’s depression, and to come up with a quick fix for him. And since when the Shinigami have GPS tracking devices for Hollows? xD They should just stick with sensing their presences. Fantasy and technology don’t mix well for me. And the second half is devoted to explaining Soul Society’s position compared to Aizen…

So Hitsugaya explains that the Arrancars are created from Menos…I think. It’s not too clear in the anime and the manga. It is revealed that there are 3 classes of Menos as well, with the Vasto Lordes being the strongest, and more powerful than your average captain. Uh oh, is this the time to start panicking for Ichigo and Soul Society? |

Well, it is noted that there needs to about 10 Vasto Lordes for Soul Society to be doomed, though Toushiro is obviously unaware of the numerous Arrancar under Aizen’s command, as shown in the last few scenes of the episode, and are supposedly stronger than Vasto Lordes (only some of them though…Yami is weak shit). |

Oh wait that’s right, the Espada haven’t been explained yet in the anime…so I shouldn’t go into that either. Er hem, anyway, this episode covers a nice two chapters, and this time the time is used wisely, instead of putting a few scenes on repeat for a minute or so. The animation quality remains quite high, and it really should stay that way from now on. |

Ichigo’s promise to Inoue to protect her and all their friends is a touching scene, though the anime kind of breezed through that part a little to quickly. Is it just me or is Inoue and Ichigo getting closer every episode? Aww, Rukia is getting left out. But romance is definitely not a big thing for Bleach, so I wouldn’t expect any developments any time soon… |

The momentary surface of Ichigo’s hollow side is a clear indicator that the more afraid Ichigo is of his inner hollow, the more easily he will be overtaken by it. Even without a bankai, Shirosaki is threatening to take over Ichigo. No wonder he is afraid to transform into a shinigami, though that fear just fuels his hollow’s strength…what a predicament! |

Coming up, as more Arrancar (and Grimjaw!), are revealed in the preview, expect the arrival or more foes! And the awesome character development should continue as always as well. This is the vital thing which fillers lack, apart from a good story. We also get to see some things on the enemy’s side, as the last few scenes of Aizen suggest. |

You knew this was coming, Danny.
You knew that at the eve of so much Rukia on one episode. One individual would be fawning over his monitor, touched by every single action spawned by her. The inspirational speech was an epic movement worthy of her return.
You knew I was coming. Though, it seems theres a focus on Orihime and Walking Cleavage next episode, in a bath tub. This makes me go Super Saiyan and wanting to slay something.

PS: I hope I didn’t scare the other commenters away etc. But its going to be like this until I stop seeing Rukia (which I hope isn’t soon).

I don’t know if it is just me but does it seem like some of the characters are being drawn a little differently now? I don’t remember Rangiku having pale blue eyes, but she finally looks closer to how she appears in the manga [/end fanboyism].
I can’t wait to see the rest of the Arrancar.

brian: yeah, i think it started from last episode, how the characters are drawn more manga-like…
Actually, I’m thinking they changed the drawing style from episode 110 (or whatever the # was for the first episode after the Bounto/Bount arc)…mainly the thing I noticed was the extra detail they added when drawing eyes; including that little area of pink between the eyeball and the actual eye socket itself. It was something I never really saw before in anime (or in any cartoon in general). I dunno, my inner OCD really comes out in terms of noticing the minute details.
But yea, I agree the artists seem to be making the characters resemble their manga counterparts more; Rangiku is an example that definitely comes to mind.
I just hope they can keep up the quality. I’m really looking forward to the fight scenes with the Arrancar.

So, Danny, is it? Love the screenshots. Posing a question to ya: What do you think of Ichigo and Senna in the Bleach Memories of Nobody movie? I support Ichigo and Rukia all the way but there have been rumours that Kubo might just add her in later on in the anime.
Oh, I also think that Ichigo is meant to be a Vaizard (Kubo’s intention).
what i think of her? i think Senna is cute xD but I havent seen the movie yet.
I would love for Senna to be in the anime.
I hate that Ichigo felt the way he did about Senna. I personally support ichiruki. But, I don’t hate Senna and I really don’t like how she died.
