Bleach: Episode 107

Impressions:
Not a bad episode, though a filler is still a filler and right now I just want it to end. I don’t even care if Kariya dies by tripping over and setting off his joukaishou or something like that. I’m beginning to think that my prediction of the Bounto arc ending at episode 110 might be a bit soon. This fight is really dragging on too much, and now I bet next episode will be another half-assed fight while the other captains go look for the other joukaishous. Then there’ll probably be some more long dialogues, and Rukia’s involvement will only complicate things. Who knows, Kariya might even hold Rukia hostage for a whole episode or something. Renji might even take a shot at Kariya. Actually, just to lengthen things, the script writers might make a few of the other characters take pot-shots at him. Inoue will probably just get in the way as well if she goes to see Ichigo. All these things make it seem like there will still be long way to go before Kariya is finished. To make things worse, Omni says that after episode 108, there will be two Bleach-less weeks before 109. The Bleach producers sure like killing their fans over and over again.
Rest assured, for I will be writing full sized posts when the fillers end. I’m not doing any summaries or anything because the story is just too crap and simple, plus half of it is fighting, so there’s not much to write about. Speaking of fighting, this episode’s start is a bit of a replica of Ichigo’s fight with Byakuya during the Soul Society arc. It was about this time at the end of the year where that fight took place, and at the same spot as this fight with Kariya. Ishida stole Ichigo’s ultra-shunpos when he fought Kariya. This time, the producers uselessly tried to replicate Ichigo’s first Bankai, where he shoots his getsuga tenshou at the same time. They failed of course, since it happens too quickly and isn’t nearly dramatic enough. There’s no emotion at all! And since Ichigo has gone bankai this many times already, it’s no big deal if it happens again. Ichigo and Kariya manage to destroy a lot Soul Society though. It makes me wonder whether the hundreds of buildings have any use, since obviously no one lives it them, if no one comes out screaming when their roofs get blown off. Oh and regarding Ichinose’s return – I knew he was gonna come back!! I’m not sure if he’s really dead now or not though.

I just feel empty, when Ichigo is fighting with his Bankai. I am not sure why I did not feel any excitement when he is fighting with his Bankai now. I must make it clear that I like his Bankai alot, but I just find something is missing that gives me the excitement when he is fighting with Byakkuyathen, compared to now. Reasons?
108 is the last episode, ’cause the title of this episode is ”The Wailing Bount! The Last Clash” which would mean kariya is killed in that episode (YES!) and the title of episode 109 is ”Ichigo and Rukia, Thoughts in the Revolving Sky” and this would be the begin of the arrancar arc, since episode 110, ”Reopening of the Substitute Business! The Terrifying Transfer Student” refers to the vizard, Hirako Shinji

Fillers, the emotion and the excitment from freeing rukia and unleashing bankai for the first time is not the same as now(especially since he has bankai’ed many many times in this filler arc.) It just seems not so special anymore, combined with the fact that it doesnt have kubo’s witty humor or style also contributes.
Can’t wait until fillers are over, looking forward to what aizens gonna do to soul society. Looks like every captain is gonna have a piece of the action this time, should be SUPER!
If #110 is indeed the end of the fillers, there will be much rejoicing. Now if only Naruto will end their fillers =\
Kev: I think that’s how we all feel. It’s just that he’s not as ‘awesome’ any more, and he’s done it too many times, which decreases its significance.
Liam: Yes, since there’s a break after 108, it’s safe to assume that that will be the last filler. Rejoice! I should have checked the episode listings myself too…
Inuhanyou: Definitely, and the filler writers are just not creative enough. They could have used the first 60 or 70 episodes of bleach for inspiration but they just decided to do whatever and ruin the entire show. Thank god it’s over now
Chado: No, actually, not every captain gets action, just more of Toushiro and ex-captains Urahara and Yoruichi. There might be more but I can’t really remember at the moment.
Exertim: Yes, and Naruto’s end of fillers have already been scheduled I think.
you liked this episode a lot more than I expected. At least Yoruichi will show up next episode. I’ve always thought she was an awesome character.

[...] I hear the ending to this long arc will take place next episode or something, for then BLEACH goes into a two-week hiatus and starts the new arc in that’s been going on in the manga in January. So, it’s gonna be some free-for-all, eh? Yoruichi’s around (which is so kick ass) and then Ishida and the others are making their way over, too, and then Renji and Rukia…who is really going to give Kariya the final blow? Maybe he’ll just blow himself up and cause no damage so Soul Society xD Other than the numerous buildings that have taken a hit. Danny-san brings up a good point about all this buildings in Soul Society. What exactly is their purpose? xD To be pretty? Maybe they hold like documents and artifacts or something. -shrugs- [...]
Do you think the new opening might be scenes from the Bleach Movie? Is there ANY Bleach movie to be release?

Well, firstly I assume the DVD needs to come out in Japan so someone can sub it. And then it takes to actually translate it, and right now I dunno if anyone will sub it or not.
Ohh…. the Greatest episode! at last, i watched that in internet [coz' bleach is not yet showed in philippines] and that episode is the best episode that i’ve ever watched! other than the battle of Ichi- ni- san [Ichigo "1-2-3 in name"] and Renji Abarai.
Danny: I suppose someone WILL sub it… since they have fans all over the world. although i heard that it MIGHT only come out during mid 2007… might take a while… sigh. the movie looks real nice and REJOICE TO THE ENDING FILLERS!!!

Hmmmm its too bad that Byakuya Kuchiki never got to use his true form of 1,000 Cherry Blossoms on Kariya in episode 95. I wanted to see Kariya’s reaction. Also I think Ichigo should’ve had an ultimate finishing technique other than just Tenshou. Its too bad I am at episode 112. I can’t seem to find episode 112….hmmm… I’m like a year ahead Adult Swim lol they are on episode 19.
