Bleach: Episode 103

~New estimate: fillers will end by episode 110!~ I hate it how the quality of the fillers are so inconsistent. Last episode was excellently done for a filler, though this time it stinks so bad I felt like closing the media player window and enthral myself in YUI’s Rolling Star on repeat mode. The quality is actually just below average, but it makes a horrible job of ending the Ishida’s fight with Yoshii, and every other little plot point in general. First I’ll go into the shittiest battle conclusion I’ve seen in the whole series of Bleach. I’m not even sure why I think it’s so crap anymore. All I know is that it happened too fast; I was completely unprepared for the end when it happened, and it’s just plain lame. Ishida, who’s confidence meter has dropped down to 0 and stamina gorge in the reds, not to mention his HP level was lingering between 1 and 2, managed to pull off a Quincy-shunpo and release a powerful arrow and kill Yoshii once and for all. Not only was that totally impractical, the so-called ‘weakness’ that Ishida discovered and exploited was something an 8-year-old could have figured out! Yoshii can’t defend herself when changing armours blah blah, something like that. If that’s the case, why didn’t Ishida just shunpo in front of her earlier when he wasn’t actually on the verge of death? And Ishida didn’t even realise this obvious fact until he accidentally discharged a second arrow. If Yoshii’s destruction had been something much more intelligent, I wouldn’t be complaining about this now. On another note, I’m surprised Toushiro is getting another fight next episode, or so it seems, since he is practically the only captain to get any action in the manga as of chapter 251. If you want, you can count Ikkaku (two massive axes) and Renji too since they both know Bankai. Yoruichi and Urahara get some action too though, but that’s it.

I hate it how Ishida’s arrows are shown in slow motion. It really just makes them look slow, and utterly fails in building up suspense. The start of the episode is crap as well, since the way the last episode ended suggested it would follow off from that arrow from Ishida. However, it was converted into an off-shot that didn’t even do anything like 10 seconds into the episode. The flashback Ishida had of his grandfather was much more impressive. His arrow was actually fast. Also, there are too many long pauses in the show, as well as one-way attacks. Yoshii let Ishida take all those shots at her for no reason except to drag out the episode. The writers also try very hard to take up as much time as possible with talk as well, since Yoshii’s weapons sometimes just don’t know when to shut up. What’s stupid as well is that none of the speech is intelligent. Yamamoto once again ordered the ‘capture of the ryouka’ and ‘finding of information’, like he’s done like 10 times already. Every captain meeting ends the same way: ‘find the ryouka’ or ’send more guards’. What the fuck is that!? Those have got to be the least thought out lines any ‘commander’ of a show has ever said. Think of something intelligent god dammit! Anyway, the only good thing about this episode is Yoshii’s defeat, so that leaves only two Bounto left. I hope the time limit for the destruction of seireitei is also the time limit of Kariya. It also seems like Ishida has another role to play, due to the title of episode 106: ‘Life and Revenge! Ishida, the Ultimate Choice’. I still hope Ichigo defeats Kariya though. It seems pretty impossible when Kariya has that power though. I wonder if he’s as strong as Aizen in his current state…Maybe Ichigo will have to call out Shirosaki again?

Plot Outline:
- The fight between Yoshii and Ishida continue
- Shunsui, Komamura and Unohana give Yamamoto a report on the current situation
- Koga tries to force Kariya to rethink destroying Seireitei, but he is easily defeated
- Ishida manages to kill Yoshii by shunpo-ing into close range and letting loose a powerful arrow
- Ran’Tao appears in Seireitei
- Shunsui and Juushiro look for information on the Bounto symbol in the library
- Ishida becomes delusional and hallucinates a conversation with his late grandfather
- He is found by Chad and Ichigo who immediately start treating his wounds
- Koga heals himself and goes after Kariya
- After being spotted, the 10th Squad is notified of Koga’s presence
- Toushiro, Matsumoto and two other guards make their way to Koga’s location

yeh, this fight really was pretty shit. It was so lacking in every department…
One of the biggest disappointments I have ever seen, seriously. After watching about 15 minutes of it, I got so disgusted with the way the episode played out, I just skimmed through the rest of the episode and quickly closed my media player, making me want to really stop watching the rest of these fillers.
Yeah, i agree, the ending of the fight was lame.
I mean, couldn’t the writers come up with something more special then just a simpel arrow?
I mean, Yoshii Has been superior compared to Ishida the whole time.. But when he’s injured and fucked up he has the power to kill her?
It dosn’t make sense.
But, the OP makes up for the shitty episode^^
Even the snipet at the end was lacking this episode. This fight was too random and too unenthusiastic for me.
The fight started so well last episode, but nothing was made of it this time. I didn’t feel any excitement or suspense whatsoever in this episode.
Disappointed……. No comments. Plain lame.. Zzz
i just wanted it to end
