Bleach: Episode 102
Impressions:
Wow, I actually thought the Yoshii vs. Ishida fight was pretty good. Exceeding all my expectations, it turned out to be far better than that shitty fight that Sawatari had with Mayuri. I think this is because I really like Yoshii’s weapon in its true form. Of course it has a lot of disadvantages such as being too slow, and the time it takes to switch from her offensive armour to defensive armour makes her vulnerable to attack. The only reason she was able to dominate Ishida was because he isn’t a fast attacker. It’s also a sure thing that Yoshii didn’t die with Ishida’s cliff-hanger attack, as she appears in the preview. I’m sort of glad since she only got half an episode’s worth of time to show off her power. The brief Kariya vs. Ichigo fight was the same as it always was, though this time Ichigo’s bankai transition + the music was pretty cool. Come to think of it, wasn’t the original Bleach battle theme different to this current, Bounto battle theme? I liked the old one better and I hope they use it when the fillers end. Hmm, what if after this Bounto arc, Bleach goes into another filler arc? That’d be hell, and it won’t do Bleach’s fan base any good. Sidenote: Mayuri looked pretty dastardly in his special appearance in the ED. The first appearance was Byakuya in episode 98, but he just looked gay with that flick of his head.
This episode was laden with unrealistic parts (I really need to find a better word than unrealistic), and some of it mounted to the extreme. It wasn’t as bad as certain other times as at least they were made to look cool. What I’m talking about are a number of things. The most noticeable would have to be Ishida’s backward sliding on the roofs. It is impossible for someone to dig their feet into the roof of some temple and manage to continue sliding for fifty metres or so. He’s weight wouldn’t be enough to anchor him down and prevent him from getting his feet stuck and flipping over. Yoshii hitting Ishida hard enough to send him soaring a hundred metres is also unrealistic, and Ishida surviving smashing into concrete is even more unbelievable. If the impact of Ishida flying into a building is enough to partially destroy that building, it is certain that he would die instantly. His ribcage would be completely shattered. It almost seems like Dragon Ball Z. Nemu was also pretty lucky to survive that chunk of roof, but I can’t believe neither Ichigo nor Chad stopped behind to help her after lifting the rock on her. It would have been much more efficient if Chad had taken her to the 4th Squad base for healing, which would also allow Ichigo to fight by himself with nothing to worry about. I wonder if the scriptwriters simply forgot about how closely the manga followed the laws of nature when writing the fillers. Stuff like shunpo is excluded since it’s cool.

I thought this was still just “alright.” Far better than the previous episode, but still not up to bleach standards. Maybe I’m just not an Ishida fan, who knows.

Retsgip, I didn’t think it was as good as what Bleach is capable of, but I’d say it’s one of the better ones of the fillers. And I’m not an Ishida fan either, it was more Yoshii’s weapon that I liked.
the animation hasnt been up to scratch lately, pretty much the majority of the filler seems to have lost the quality it had when it was on the main story. But this episode looked a little better than other filler episodes (Ishida’s fight?).

Bleach 102 wasn’t that good, and Ishida fighting wasn’t interesting IMO

in the secondary tabs, click on ‘writing’
under the heading ‘formatting’, deselect the box first box that says ‘users should use the visual rich text editor by default’

I’m a bleach fan, but the last episodes are really unrealistic.
As seen in the first episodes, bleach’s scripts were directed by the natural physical laws, and now we see things unbleavable !
I think that the fact to be a season that don’t follow the manga is the reason. Also the scriptors wants to attrackt the DBZ fans to their creation !
That’s what I think.
looking at how ishida and yoshii jump (more like fly) around. i wonder why they bother walking throughout sereireitei. and the incompetent guards are really just dispensible preludes to the exciting battles between the bad guys and the good guys. Can’t they at least make the guards more powerful. And in the earlier episodes of bleach, the captains’ reiatsu could cause asthma in lousier shinigamis. and now.. i duno what happened to them. Bleach in the earlier episodes were shrouded in mysteries as well.. which is good. (u noe.. aizen feigning death bla bla bla..).
