Gundam 00: Episode 19

Rating: 8.5/10

It’s really refreshing seeing the Gundam Meisters fight as a team, a proper one that is, and actually do a fairly good job of it. I did hope that fighting in and amongst CB would cause more of a surprise in the superpowers’ political leaders, though it seems it was somewhat anticipated at least. I continue to assert that Nena really needs to die, and her brothers are no better. But Setsuna still needs to properly step up and show that he is superior to the others. If he’s not, it kind of defeats the purpose of having a main lead, and would make the show just a little more dull than what it might be. But oh well…

The first half of this episode makes me kinda hate Noe. The second half shows her sweet side and makes me like her again. So it’s all good. The first half, however, does leave a big impression in me, as it tells me that Noe is either just really childish or extremely selfish—and both aren’t good traits. The way she accuses Hiromi and demands to know what’s not her business is quite irritating, so I’m certainly not hoping for her to end up with Shinichiro anymore. The latter half of the show shows her in quite a good light, though I still like Hiromi far better. Lastly there’s Ai, who’s made the boldest move so far, though I doubt she’ll get him in the end.

(Comp is finally fixed)~Quite a touching episode, and although it feels a bit slow, it’s not lacking in material at all in my opinion. The usual sense of sluggishness comes from extended periods of showing the same movement over and over again, while repeating lines and random shots of random things. If you’ve seen Naruto, you know what I mean. But for this episode of Bleach, the slowness really makes the whole Rukia x Kaien relationship all the more powerful. I can’t even remember if Rukia’s situation has been resolved in the manga or not, as the anime is quite close to catching up.

So I killed my comp. Yes I am an idiot, doing something stupid in setup or something, and now it won’t start, so it’s at the shop. I’m pretty sure I know what’s wrong with it, but for now it’s not here. I’m typing this from another computer, but it’s not mine so I can’t download or watch anything, which means it’s hiatus time! It hopefully won’t last longer than a few days though…

Yuuji’s acting strange…and I don’t think it’s just his will to become stronger. Perhaps what’s inside him is affecting him somehow… whatever the case, I really don’t think this bodes well. He’s far too serious, and it seems like this is only going to get him into greater trouble. I wonder if Shana is ever going to confess now though, since the story isn’t slowing down, and Yuuji’s determination is going to let her make any moves any time soon. The series is about to end soon anyway, so it will be interesting to see how it goes down, and how far it gets in relation to the novels (I think they’re almost up the current novel, if I’m not mistaken).

Holy f8ck this episode is good—best ep so far, without question. It’s been decided: Nena has to die a slow and paaainful death. Preferably at Setsuna’s hands. Her inhumanity astounds me, especially as her reasons for deciding to pull such a stunt involve a petty and childish sense of spite, and although this might be due to her being raised in a poor family, or something along those lines, the fact that she takes great pleasure from committing such crimes really makes it unforgivable. I didn’t think she would be such a psychotic girl when she first appeared, but it’s clear now that she’s an enemy to humankind.

NOOOOO this means there is a possibility that Hiromi and Shin are related, as everyone probably already suspected. This basically means Noe’s chances of getting with Shin have skyrocketed, and she seems to be the ‘main’ girl if the ED has any say in things, but you still can’t rule Hiromi out yet. And the way Hiromi says it at the end clearly means she’s got feelings for Shinichiro, regardless of whether something like that may be forbidden or not. Now we know the reason for her being so cold to Shin and everyone else in the family, though she still warmed up to him unusually quickly. My guess is she gives up on him and accept him as her brother.

I’ve got a LOT of homework today, so it’s very surprising that I’m even blogging this (and even more surprising as I’m planning to blog True Tears after, but that may change). Anyway, I have to say I’m loving Clannad right now. Mainly because they’re employing the use of common harem matters into the show, but actually animating it well and using characters we’re already used to, but in a non-harem way. What’s more, we get more Tomoyo and Kyou time, as it seems like KyoAni are merging the two arcs into one. I love Tomoyo’s random appearances, and the sports storage room scene is just gold.
