Nominees in for ~Show with best character personalities~ Vote Now!!

The last poll is up—please vote! I find it unsurprising that Lucky Star was nominated most, with a total of 7 nominations. Darker than BLACK followed with 5, while Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Death Note both had 3 each. I gotta vote Minami-ke though, since the three sisters, and later the three brothers…they’re all too priceless xD. Again, I really like Matsuri so I would consider sola as well. The winners, anyway, will be announced later, probably next week, and this time, hopefully with pictures (I got fed up with it and couldn’t be bothered adding in any last year xD) The original post is here.

CLANNAD: Episode 15

Rating: 8.5/10

Impressions:

Literally, the LOVE has come back to Clannad. After watching Kotomi’s arc, which I didn’t really like, this serves as a wonderful breather, and the random new direction it’s taking is definitely something I want to see. Sunohara’s sister makes for an interesting development, and as I said in the first sentence, everyone’s starting to get involved with these love problems and misunderstandings. I really like how it seems to be spreading as indicated by the preview, especially as how Kyou definitely wants Tomoya after he says he’s not dating anyone at the moment. Perhaps this will turn into Kyou’s arc…

Gundam 00: Episode 16

Rating: 6/10 (it’s a recap, can’t help it…)

Impressions:

I really don’t like the idea of the three world superpowers actually defeating Celestial Being in any way. It would be much more entertaining if the Thrones or something defected to their side and ended up being the main retaliating force. I find Graham, Ali and that super soldier girl annoying (I think I got their names right), though I really love Patrick’s character, as he’s so bad it’s just a joke now. Speaking of annoying characters, surprisingly, I didn’t find the Throne members that bad. I was expecting a lot of cockiness from them after saving the original Meisters, but only one of them really says the nasty things.

Just a few boring and unimportant updates…

Just a few site announcements, but before anything, let me say that Shakugan no Shana II 15, Clannad 15 and Gundam 00 16 will be out within the next day (hopefully). I actually haven’t been keeping up with them, and I only get them when I ‘come across’ their torrents whenever I visit tokyotosho. Hopefully though, I’ll get more organised now (school’s starting so that should hopefully snap me out of my laziness and desire to go out and do stuff instead of staying home and blogging…) With Gundam 00 though, I’ve been following Nyoro~n’s subs until now, but I think I’ll switch to Shinsen, as they’re a lot faster.

I haven’t gotten around to changing the banner, which I should, but at least I’ve finally switched the ‘top 5 shows’ icons below it for now—top 5 being my personal preference, it’s not decided by a vote or anything. I got rid of Bleach, which I didn’t think I would when I first put it up…Of course, they have to be ones I’m blogging at the moment (which isn’t a lot…)

Hmm, after some thought, I’ve decided to drop Dragonaut ~ The Resonance. I don’t really feel up to it anymore, especially as how the show turned out to be quite disappointing.

I hate dropping shows, so the other three I’m really behind on, D.Gray-man, Naruto and Hayate no Gotoku, will probably be taken care of by a single post that spans many episodes, since there’s no real point in talking about them in any further detail when everyone’s probably gone and watched ahead (which, I might add, also applies to me lol).

Just to clarify, the shows I’m blogging now are: Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, D.Gray-man, Hayate no Gotoku, Clannad, Gundam 00, True Tears, Ookami to Koushinryou, H2O ~ Footprints in the Sand and Shakugan no Shana II. If you’re wondering about the many other show I have listed under ‘current’ in the sidebar which I have not finished, such as Lucky Star and Nagasarete Airantou, all I can say is, I will finish them when I feel like it. Basically since, no one really cares about them now that they’ve finished, do they?

And lastly, the 2007 anime awards will probably all be finalised in early February.

True Tears: Episode 4

Rating: 8.8/10

Impressions:

A few scary thoughts…perhaps Jun is not related to Noe, which would sort of explain his actions while putting on the bike helmet for her…But still I can’t see an ending where the two end up together. I’m confident to say that True Tears isn’t weird enough to do that…I hope. And the other: Maybe Shinichiro’s actually related to Hiromi…Shin’s mother definitely seems to have something against her, which implies a close relationship…perhaps she’s like, Hiromi’s real mother or something. That would be the worst possible revelation ever though, as it means Hiromi and Shin won’t be able to get together…(which will probably make me cry).

Nominees in for ~Show with best character design style~ Vote Now!!

Once again, please vote in the poll to the right-side of the blog. This time, it’s a question about which show you think has the best character designs (visually). My personal favourite would be sola, but only because of Matsuri. I’d have to say the same for the next poll as well (best character personalities). Anyway, for nominations, Code Geass came first with 6 nominations, with Lucky Star and Gurren Lagann at 3, and Bokurano, Kanon, Lucky Star, Darker than BLACK and Seirei no Moribito each with 2. Out of these, I must say I do like Gurren Lagann, especially for Yoko xD. Anyway, the original post is here.

H2O ~ Footprints in the Sand: Episode 4

Rating: 6.5/10

Impressions:

I had thought that perhaps the animators decided to remove Hamaji’s ‘trapness’. But instead they decided to give us a full shot of his bare chest, which really was quite disturbing. I sure as hell never want to see that episode again…a girl’s head does NOT go on a guy’s body. In any case, the class beach episode which all harems have is here, and it doesn’t do very well for the overall drama level of the show. Which, I might mention, is approximately zero right now. I now expect nothing more than an Amaenaideyo level of harem now, as H2O is failing in every other respect. Maybe I’ll get more out of this show if I severely lower all my expectations…

Shakugan no Shana II: Episode 14

Rating: 8/10

Impressions:

Oops…I left this so late that the next episode is already out…but I haven’t seen it yet. Anyway, I was almost about to start raging at the show for creating another villain that turns good, but thankfully, this isn’t the case at all as you see once you near the end of the episode. And of course, Konoe/Hecate is somehow involved, and more likely they are the bigger evil. In terms of power though, Pheles appears quite imposing, while Sakai’s silver flame might somehow give him the edge in a battle if it were to occur. Ahh, the many things happening are all nicely intertwined, which is what I always look for in plots. Now to wait for Shana’s confession…
